Narratives

Lego Land Club:

Do you like being creative and using your imagination?  Then come and join Mrs. Blodgett and build your world in Lego Land Club. Mrs. Blodgett will offer this program every Monday from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. for grades K-8.

Dance Club:

Do you want to listen and move to different genres of music?  Students will learn how to choreograph their own parts of a dance, in small and large group settings.  Join Mrs. Legacy for some dancing fun every Monday from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. for grades 3-6.

Chess Club:

Challenge your mind, have fun, practice good sportsmanship, and play to win.  Worldwide, chess has been shown to improve critical thinking, problem solving, and concentration. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend time with friends and family.  We’ll learn the basics, practice strategies, and eventually work toward tournament play.  Mr. Matt will offer this program every Tuesday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. for grades K-8.

Back of the Net Soccer Club:

We are excited to offer soccer as part of our after school programs this year!

Students will build their skills, learn team work, and learn the game of soccer.  We are hoping to schedule at least 4 games with local schools.  Games are to be announced.  Students must have cleats, shin guards and a water bottle to participate in both practices and games.   Join Mr. Brooks every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. for grades 3-5.

*Additional paperwork will be required for this club*

French Club:

Students will have the opportunity to learn French vocabulary and speak conversational French through games and activities.  We will have a Canadian Pen Pal and a field trip to Canada at some point to try out what was learned.  This program will be a 16 Week Program.  Mrs. Blay will offer this club every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. for grades 4-8.

Inquiring Minds:

This is offered to students that need to stay after school and want a quiet place to study or do homework without assistance. For students who don’t have homework, we will have a selection of board games or individual activities to use during this time.  Mrs. Richardson will offer this program every Wednesday and Friday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. for grades K-3.

Cooking Club:

Students will develop an understanding of baking and cooking techniques such as, reading recipes, and learning new vocabulary. Students will also have hands-on cooking and nutrition education activities that focus on balancing and planning healthy meals.  Mrs. Inga will offer this program every Thursday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. for grades 5-8.

Artsy and Crafty Club:

Do you like to Paint, draw, color, or glue things together?  This is the club for you.  Bring your own Artsy and Crafty ideas to the club.  Mrs. Blodgett will offer this program every Thursday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. for grades K-2.

Bell Ringers:

Would you like to learn to play the handbells? Handbells are sets of small bells each with a different note, similar to the keys on a piano.  People play only 2 or 3 bells, or “notes” and the group works together to sound like one instrument.  Playing handbells is a musical experience different from playing any other instrument.     Join Mrs. Sicotte every Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. for grades 3-8.

Odyssey of the Mind:

This is a creative problem-solving club where children will have to think out-of-the-box and work together as a team to solve open-ended problems. This is a 26-week program with a culminating competition on a Saturday in March (date, time and location to be determined).  Join Ms. Ide every Friday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. This club is being offered for grades 4-8.
